Kathir Meyyappan

Kathir Meyyappan is a fourth-year from Boston, MA, double-majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. This summer, he interned at Arrowstreet Capital as a quant dev intern. He also has experience at AWS doing database infra and conducts databases research under Professor Aaron Elmore. He is currently interning at Notion, working on storage infrastructure. In his free time, he enjoys reading manga, watching football, and lifting. 

Sohini Banerjee

Sohini Banerjee is a fourth-year student from Oak Hill, VA, majoring in computer science and economics. She is interested in quantitative finance, software engineering, and entrepreneurship. This summer, she interned as a software engineer at IMC Trading, and in the two previous summers, she interned at Amazon. On campus, she conducts research in machine learning. In her free time, she enjoys exploring boba shops and watching thriller films.

Andrés López Forastier

Andrés López Forastier is a fourth year from Washington, DC majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Science. He is involved with Paragon National Group, Chabad, and OLAS. This past summer he interned at BlackRock working on the anti money laundering and KYC automation team. In his free time, he enjoys house music festivals, David Lynch films, and grilling.

Viresh Mittal

Viresh Mittal is a third-year from Cleveland, Ohio, studying economics and computer science with a specialization in systems. This summer, he worked as an undergraduate researcher at the SAND Lab studying AI-generated music. Before that, he interned at Icosa Computing, a quantum computing startup. In his free time, he enjoys all things football, cooking, and sitcoms.

Hanlei Wen

Hanlei is a third year from Beijing, China, double majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. He is actively involved in UChicago's ICPC Club and has an avid interest in algorithms and data structures! This summer he worked as a quant intern at Icarus Fund. Outside of school, Hanlei is interested in playing chess, reading novels and playing basketball. 

Jack Wang

Jack is a third-year from Fremont, California, double majoring in Computer Science and Economics. This summer, he interned at Amazon Web Service on the gateway load balancer product as an SDE intern. Last summer, he interned at Dreamworld, a YCombinator-backed startup, as an SDE intern working on replication of specific aspects of a networked game. In his free time, he enjoys playing League of Legends and reading (somewhat poorly written) Chinese web novels.

Abril Rodriguez Almanzar

Abril Rodriguez Almanzar is a third-year student from the Washington, D.C metropolitan area majoring in Computer Science. She is interested in web and app development, as well as machine learning. She has interned at Charactour helping with API integration and collaborative web development. In her free time, she enjoys reading fiction, going to concerts, and checking out new food spots.

Mandy Jiang

Mandy Jiang is a fourth year from Nanjing, China, double-majoring in Computer Science and Statistics. This summer, she interned at Amazon Web Services Aurora as a software engineer. On campus, she is also involved in privacy and security research and the Financial Markets Program. In her free time, she enjoys dancing kpop, traveling, and watching shows.

Diya Kannan

Diya Kannan is a second-year student from Naperville, IL, double majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. She has interned as a software engineer at two startups, working on projects across data science, machine learning, and front-end development. On campus, she conducts machine learning research on social determinants of health. In her free time, she enjoys stargazing, exploring new cafes, and spending time with friends.

Akash Piya

​Akash Piya is a fourth-year student from Ashburn, VA majoring in Computer Science and Physics. This past summer, he interned at Arrowstreet Capital as a software engineer developing data warehousing infrastructure. Before that, he interned at AION Biosystems, a medical device startup, as a Data Science intern. Outside of school, he enjoys watching movies, cooking, and reading.

Brian Jiang

Brian Jiang is a second-year from Princeton, NJ, majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. This summer, he interned as a software engineer at a startup, working on web and app development. On campus, he is also involved with Phoenix Funds. In his free times, he enjoys exploring new restaurants, playing video games, and watching movies.
